How do I create a backup?

How to create a backup using the standard interface:

You must perform 4 really simple steps:

  1. Click the Backup button on the toolbar, select Backup files from the Backup menu or simply press [Ctrl+B]. This will display the backup window.
  2. Select the Backup Set you wish to use
  3. Enter the backup archive name in the "Save as:" input field or click the "..." button to browse your system for the destination folder and file name.
  4. Click the Backup button.


How to create a backup using the Wizard interface:

You must perform 4 really simple steps:

  1. On the Wizards page, click the "Backup files using existing backup set" checkbox and click Next.
  2. Select the backup set to use and click Next.
  3. Enter the name of your new backup archive and/or browse your system for the destination folder, and click Next.
  4. Click Close.
You have now backed up your data. The created archive should be stored on external media like CD-ROM, DVD or tape for optimal safety.
